Ceramic Hair Curlers for Luscious Curls
There are two main varieties of ceramic hair curlers. The first is a wand or tongs type of device, heated by electricity, which is a similar system to hair straighteners. In fact some of the curlers on the market are dual purpose and can also be used for straightening hair. An example of this is the Infiniti by Conair or the Farouk CHI.
The other type of ceramic hair curlers are individual curlers or heated rollers which sit on a base unit that is plugged into the power supply to heat up. These can come in small travel sets of 4 or 6 rollers up to 12 or even 18-20 roller sets of differing sizes. Both sorts of ceramic curlers can vary greatly in price depending on the make and model.
To use the wand style of curler effectively requires some practice and an element of technique, but can be used to produce soft waves or tighter curls. The heater rollers are simpler to use as you just section off the hair you want to curl, tuck the end around the roller and roll it up. Once secured by a clip or pin, you just need to leave the rollers in your hair for the desired amount of time. The longer you leave them the tighter the curl. These rollers can get extremely hot and you need to be careful not to have any of them touching your face around your hairline or your ears.
Remington's latest range of ceramic hair curlers are the T-Studio Ceramic Heated Clip Hair Rollers with Tourmaline. These rollers are an innovative design which is claimed will create beautiful curls in just five minutes, whilst locking in the moisture within the hair so that they don't cause any frizz, just smooth shiny curls. You can get a set of 20 of these on Amazon for less than which has to be a bargain!
At the other end of the price range at 0 to almost 0, depending on the model and where you buy them, the Farouk CHI curling and straightening irons have had mixed reviews but are more often than not loved by users. They heat up very quickly and there is also a range of CHI hair care products designed to protect your hair from the heat produced by styling products. These include a thermal protection spray and a thermal polishing spray to complete your look.

GBC HeatSeal H110 Pouch Laminator Review
Overview:
The GBC H110 pouch laminator is the new replacement model for the tried and true GBC H100 pouch laminator.
The H110 is a 4.5 inch pouch laminating machine that is designed for laminating small documents such as name badges, photos, ID's, luggage tags and business cards.
It is designed for the small office, home office user who laminates small numbers of documents but is looking for an easy to use photo quality laminator that won't take up much space.
Strengths / Features:
The New Heatseal H110 laminator now has the ability to accept either 5mil or 7mil laminating pouches. The old H100 only had the ability to use 3mil and 5mil pouches and since 3mil pouches aren't available in small sizes, this limited it to only laminating documents with 5mil pouches. This new machine can now handle 7mil pouches. However, GBC doesn't currently make 7mil laminating pouches so you will need to buy a generic brand if you want to use 7mil laminating pouches.
The Heatseal H110 is extremely simple to operate. You have two choices for this machine: Hot or Cold. It laminates at a fixed speed of 13" per minute and there are really no settings or adjustments to mess with. It doesn't even require a carrier for your laminating pouches (we will discuss this more in a minute).
The H110 comes with a one year warranty from GBC who is one of the best manufacturers in the industry to deal with. They will generally just replace the H110 if it fails within one year and won't hassle you in the process.
Weaknesses / Limitations:
The H110 specifically states on the box and on the machine that you should NOT use a carrier when laminating documents using this machine. This is definitely concerning. Over time there is a good chance that laminating adhesive will begin to build up on the rollers and eventually you may wrap a pouch around the rollers of this machine which would ruin it. For light volume use this won't realistically happen. However, if it does happen the laminator will be ruined and will need to be replaced.
The H110 does not come with a jam release lever or a reverse feature. This means that if a laminating pouch does get stuck in the machine that it may be essentially impossible to remove it (without major surgery). This is something to keep in mind.
The H110 does not have adjustments for heat and speed. Depending on the items that you are laminating this could be a problem. Thicker items may not receive enough heat to fully laminate and thinner items may become wavy if they receive too much heat. This machine does not allow you to adjust for these things. This means that you need to live with what you get which can be a little bit frustrating if a highly professional finished product is important to you.
Recommendation:
The H110 laminator is ideal for small offices and home offices that need to laminate a few documents at a time and are looking for a cost effective solution to do so. However, it does have a few limitations and potential problems that make it less than ideal for any type of volume applications. If you laminate small numbers of small items then the H110 is a laminator to consider. If you need to laminate a large number of items or need to laminate larger items then this machine isn't for you.

Akiles ProLam Plus 330 Professional Pouch Laminator Review
If you're looking for a top-notch laminator for your office or copy room, it would be hard to do better than the Akiles Pro-Lam Plus 330. Akiles is known for creating extremely high-quality office machines and the Pro-Lam Plus 330 is just one example. Continue reading to discover the features of this fantastic machine and find out why you should purchase one for your laminating needs!
The Akiles ProLam Plus 330 is a professional-grade laminator and with its dual-color metal exterior, it certainly looks the part. The interior is also tough and it contains silicon rollers that enable you to laminate without or without carriers. (Note: you should always use a carrier when laminating. Without a carrier, hot glue can seep out of the laminating pouch and mar your document - and possibly damage your machine.) The ProLam Plus 330 has a patented dual-heat system consisting of both heated rollers and plates, allowing for flawless lamination at any temperature, even when laminating photographs. The temperature is easy to control and can be adjusted gradually, and the ProLam Plus 330 offers cold lamination so you don't need to a separate machine to laminate heat-sensitive items. Akiles has also equipped this laminator with a forward/reverse switch, so it's easy to clear jams should they happen. Needless to say, the ProLam Plus 330 is easy to use and even laminating newbies should be able to use the machine without any difficulty.
You may be wondering what size items you can laminate with the ProLam Plus 330. Well, there's good news. One of the ProLam Plus 330's best features is its very wide 13-inch throat. This large opening is great because it means you can easily laminate larger documents, including signs, menus, and so on. (Naturally, you can also laminate smaller documents, as well.) And you can be sure your documents will be strong because the ProLam Plus 330 can accommodate various sizes of pouches, including the very thick 10 mil pouch. Finally, this laminator is speedy and it can laminate at speeds up to 20 inches long in one minute. That's pretty fast, yes? That will sure be helpful when you're under a tight deadline!
As for drawbacks, the ProLam Plus 330 only has a couple. The price might be a bit prohibitive, with the machine retailing for anywhere between 0.00 and 0.00. (Although, when you compare the cost of laminating your own documents to sending them to a copy shop, you'll see that the machine pays for itself.) The ProLam isn't the most stylish machine available either. It's rather boxy and industrial-looking, so if the look of your laminator is a concern, you may want to buy a different machine.
Overall, the ProLam Plus 330's drawbacks shouldn't be too alarming, considering this machine is designed for frequent use. This laminator emphasizes function over form, and it functions beautifully. If your business needs a rugged, efficient laminator that can handle both big and small jobs, the ProLam Plus 330 is just the product to get!

Bonnet Vs Blow Hair Dryer - Which Is Better?
Before we answer that question, let us see what the difference is between the bonnet hair dryer and the blow dryer. Basically speaking there is not much of a difference in their working at all. Both of them work by pumping in hot air on to your hair so that the evaporation process is sped up.
It has long been known that if you "set" your hair when it is damp and then dry it out, your hair will remain that way far longer than even if you use high tech creams to hold your hair in place. Plus you get the wavy soft look that creams cannot give you.
It is for this reason that the hand held hair dryers were invented, so that you can arrange your hair any way you want to without having to go to a hairdressers to do it. Most people use the blow dryer simply because it is faster, and the bonnet hair dryer is generally not preferred because it takes longer.
In actual fact the blow dryer is better only if you want to dry out your hair quickly. If you want to brush and set your hair in place, it is actually more difficult with a blow dryer. You will have to brush with one hand while blow drying your hair with the other, and most of us find this very difficult. This means that we take longer leading to heat damage to our hair. Then we have to go and spend a lot of money in finding something that will remove this damage, and the whole thing is just one big circle.
A bonnet hair dryer on the other hand is very simple. It has a unit that you mount on the wall and a cap that you put over your head. When you switch it on, hot air is blown into the cap heating your hair evenly. This gives you the option of you brushing your hair in place, putting on your cap and putting on your make-up while your hair dries.
Because the bonnet hair dryer heats your hair evenly, you can put it at a much lower temperature setting and dry your hair for longer. This will ensure that your hair does not get heated to such an extent that it gets damaged.
The only flip side to this is that you are tied down by the length of the hose that connects the cap with the mount. Many people also find it highly embarrassing to use one of these which is why they prefer to go with the blow dryer.
As hair dryers go the bonnet hair dryer is what is good for your hair. Of course it will not work as well with long hair, but with regards to preventing hair damage, it is the best.

Creating Ringlets With the Use of the Curling Iron
Creating ringlets with the use of the curling iron is every easy to do as long as you have the time and the courage to really do it. Ringlets are spiral and tight curls that are usually done during parties and special events like weddings, dates, and proms. It is a lady-like style that looks like coils or springs in shape and in bounce as well. These ringlets or ringlet curls will spring back to its spiral bounce and shape when it is pulled. This style was made popular in the middle ages when the royals would go out and show off their ringlet curls.
These ringlets are very easy to do with the use of curling iron but it can also be done through the use of hot sticks or tongs. But this article will specifically talk about creating ringlets with the use of the curling iron. So to start, you should use a curling iron that has a thin barrel, about an inch or smaller. Prepare your other materials as well like the comb, mousse, hair clips, and hair spray. After you have selected your materials, prepare your hair first that is to be curled up by applying mousse on the strands. For the mousse to coat the hair, you should comb it. Section you hair, and wrap some strands or thin strands all around the barrel of the iron. Hold it for ten to fifteen seconds for a good output. Remove the iron and then softly release the curls. Continue with the process and use the hair spray to hold the curls. It is indeed very easy creating ringlets.
